ERGO Group AG today announced the signature of a major sponsorship agreement with Inter Miami CF, Major League Soccer’s (MLS) most recognized soccer team globally. The partnership follows the successful acquisition of NEXT Insurance and ERGO’s entry into the U.S. market in 2025, marking another significant step in the Company’s strategic expansion in the world’s largest insurance market. In parallel to the sponsorship agreement, ERGO also revealed the rebranding of its leading technology-first Property & Casualty insurer NEXT Insurance, which will operate from now on under the name “ERGO NEXT Insurance” and a related visual identity.
These developments are an integral part of the Group’s new business strategy announced at the end of last year. As ERGO strives to position itself as a truly international, global player in the insurance industry by 2030, this ambition must be reflected in both a global and coherent brand presence across geographies as well. The sponsorship agreement with Inter Miami CF and NEXT Insurance’s rebranding are fundamental building blocks to enhance the Company’s recognition value for the long-term.

Under the multiyear agreement, ERGO has secured the exclusive rights of “Official Insurance Partner of Inter Miami CF” and “Training Apparel Partner of Inter Miami CF”, making the Company one of the club’s Main Partners. In addition, the sponsorship includes, amongst others, perimeter advertising at home games, advertising presence in the club’s digital and social media, and joint marketing productions.
The partnership with Inter Miami CF builds upon ERGO’s strategic sports sponsorship program in its home market Germany. Here, the Company has been a partner of the DFB-Pokal (“German Football Association Cup”), a national knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (“Deutscher Fußball-Bund”, DFB), since 2016 and the “Official Insurance Partner of the German Football Association” since 2022. Most recently, ERGO has been official national partner of the UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany and exclusive presenting partner of the tournament’s volunteer program.
